Project 308 Design was founded in 2014 by Chris Penndorf, a licensed architect and educator with over 17 years of experience in the practice of design. Chris serves as the Managing Principal for the firm, overseeing client relationships, design, documentation, business development, and execution of projects. At the root of his practice is a passion for understanding how a comprehensive design approach between architecture and allied sciences can positively affect the built environment and how designers and clients can influence the human condition.
Chris is a certified architect with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is currently licensed in Virginia, The District of Columbia, Maryland, Florida, Colorado, South Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois. He also holds a full membership with the American Institute of Architects.
In addition to design, Chris' passions include photography, woodworking, bread making, and tirelessly trying to recreate his mother's Italian cuisine from his days growing up outside of New York City. He lives with his wife, daughter, and their ferocious guard chihuahua in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria.
